  • GUEST OF HONOR: Cedric Maxwell

    Cedric "Cornbread" Maxwell is celebrated for his standout career with the Boston Celtics. Known for his pivotal role in securing two NBA championships in 1981 and 1984, Maxwell's prowess on the court earned him the NBA Finals MVP in 1981. His tenacity, scoring ability, and clutch performances made him a Boston Celtics legend. Post-retirement, Maxwell has transitioned into a successful basketball commentator, showcasing his insights and charisma. Beyond the hardwood, his impact resonates as a testament to his contributions to the sport and his enduring influence on future basketball players.

  • GRAND MARSHALS: Diane & David MacGregor

    Diane and David MacGregor, cherished educators in Little Compton, Rhode Island, made lasting contributions to their community through their dedicated roles at Wilbur School. David, a coach and sports administrator, left an indelible mark on students' lives with his passion for athletics and mentorship. Meanwhile, Diane, a beacon of positivity, initiated the impactful "Be Kind" campaign, spreading compassion by painting uplifting signs throughout the town. Together, their commitment to education and community enrichment has left an enduring legacy, inspiring generations with the values of kindness, sportsmanship, and the power of education at the heart of Little Compton.

  • CONCERT HEADLINER: Green Road

    Green Road, a traditional Irish folk band, described as “ one of the hottest in Ireland “ is coming to Rhode Island following a series of sold-out gigs at some of the biggest venues in Ireland, including the National Opera House (850 seat) and the Wexford Opera Speiglent.(950 seat), and add that to the many other venues that they have played throughout Ireland and their highly successful US Tours in March and September, where they played to sell out crowds in Boston, Danville CA, San Francisco, Savannah and Philadelphia.

  • LIVE PERFORMANCES: Scottish Fish

    Scottish Fish present a fresh take on traditional and contemporary Scottish and Cape Breton music. Their lively and unique arrangements are woven together from session music handed down from generations of the tradition’s finest players, many of whom they have had the opportunity to share the stage with. These five young women have a very long and unique history: they began the band as elementary school children, and have remained together for the last decade. Now in their late teens and early twenties, their intense chemistry is clear in their performances and music.

  • OFFICIAL ALL-TIME PARADE STARTER: James Manning

    James "Papa Jim" Manning, a beloved resident of Tiverton, Rhode Island, seamlessly weaves his deep Irish roots into the fabric of his family's life. More than a family man, he's a versatile actor with notable film credits, including his role in "Rigor Mortis," premiered at the esteemed Austin Film Festival in 2019. In a unique turn, he played Bill Murray in "Saving Bill Murray" in 2016. Papa Jim imparts a touch of his heritage by giving his children Gaelic names, reflecting his love for Irish culture. His humor and vibrant personality leave a lasting impression on everyone he meets.

Green Road , a traditional Irish folk band , described as “ one of the hottest in Ireland “ is coming to play at the World’s Shortest St Paddy’s Day Festival in Adamsville on March 17th 2024.

Green Road are coming to Rhode Island following a series of sold-out gigs at some of the biggest venues in Ireland, including the National Opera House (850 seat) and the Wexford Opera Speiglent.(950 seat), and add that to the many other venues that they have played throughout Ireland and their highly successful US Tours in March and September, where they played to sell out crowds in Boston, Danville CA, San Francisco, Savannah and Philadelphia, Green Road is flying. Green Road is a 5 piece powerhouse band, with an uplifting repertoire that uniquely combines traditional Irish music, folk songs, and ballads with subtle tones of American bluegrass. They feature expert Irish musicians who play multiple instruments such as Uileann pipes, low whistle, five-string and tenor banjos, mandolin, guitar, and bodhran. They have one of the best male vocalists to emerge in Ireland in recent years PJ Sinnott.

Their concert will be engaging and interactive in a distinctly Irish way. It will be like traveling the iconic Green Road, a pathway through Irish memories and history. Green Road’s raw and authentic sound will have you singing along all night.
