The MC will officially announce the start of the parade. The Parade Manager will call your number when it's time. The MC will introduce your group. See instructions for walking or performing below:
Walking Instructions:
The Parade Manager will line everyone up according to your number.
When your number is called, it will be your time to walk. The parade route is just 89 feet long, so take your time!
Please take at least 60 seconds to walk the 89 feet. Stop, wave to the crowd, get them excited, take photos with people, and have fun, but most importantly be safe.
If you have candy, irish beads, or anything to hand out to the crowd, you cannot throw things into the crowd - you will need to hand items to the crowd directly.
Float Instructions/Performance Instructions:
Please follow the Parade Manager's instructions for lining up and moving forward.
Each float should go very slow and drive at a speed of no more than 1mph throughout the parade.
Your float can stop in the middle of the parade to perform for the crowd. Feel free to showcase your creativity and entertain the audience!
We encourage you to bring items to hand out to the crowd, but please do not throw anything.
Please be aware that this is a short parade, so plan your performance accordingly.
Each band or float should take a minimum of 2:30 minutes to perform and a maximum of 7 minutes.
We hope this schedule helps you prepare for the World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade! Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
